The 2007 Sun Diego/Monster Energy Demo Series came to a close last Saturday, or more accurately, got shut down.  We knew we were saving the best for last this year by having the FLIP team out, but even our high expectations were shattered about 5 minutes into the demo.  As you’re well aware Flip has by far the best crop of little rippers.  Little kids don’t need any warm up.  Curran Caples, Louie Lopez, David Gonzalas, and brand new Flip Am Luan De Oliveira, shot out of a cannon and onto the course, wasting no time banging out a barrage of tricks, destroying every obstacle in their path.  Flip veterans Mark Appleyard, Geoff Rowley and Rune Glifberg soon joined in the destruction and everyone kept the shred up for a solid 2 hours.  If you weren’t there to witness the gnarliness then the descriptions wont do any justice, but in any case here is what you missed.  Curran frontside flip frontside grab over an eight foot channel from quarter to quarter, kickflip blunt fakies, and massive slatefish grabs up the vert extention..  Rune frontside grind and crail the 5 foot vert extention over a channel.  Applesauce trademark 360 butterflip over the 10 foot bank to bank and alleyoop nollie bigspins over the channel.  Luan ollie up frontside flip off the Shredillac.  Louie inward heel up the Shredillac and I think over the 10 foot gap too.  David Gonzalas frontside crail ollies over the 8 foot channel and ollie impossibles over the bank to bank.  Rowleys effortless backside 360 ollies and frontside half cab flips.  I’m forgetting a bunch of stuff, you’ll just have to catch the whole demo on FuelTV’s Weekly Update or The Feast Tour which they will be airing soon, over and over and over…
