Brink Surfboards x Sun Diego

Donald Brink of Brink Surfboards and Vissla, gives a simple overview of his boards, their asymmetrical shapes, and construction details. Sun Diego was lucky enough to be selected as one of the few shops to carry Brink Surfboards on the west coast. They are now available at our Carlsbad Twin Inn store.

WHY ASYMMETRICAL?

Asymmetrical changes, especially to small wave models, are of obvious advantage. Surely the best part of your quiver is one that brings you stoke between epic swells or according to local spot crowds or conditions. When you get a gap to surf, you should be able to connect the dots and have fun in the sea despite the conditions. Asymmetry for me makes for accurate and enjoyable surfing with ease on the smallest of canvases. Helping the limitations of ones front side to heel side due to the setup of our feet and ankles. My boards are stance specific and allow the best experience to be learned both front side and back. This is always more challenging in tiny waves, yet the asymmetrical advantages can best help these days and conditions.
